Did this today - http://bit.ly/sz82Fq

And clicked on the fourth link - https://encrypted.google.com/

And then to differentiate the above link from the default google page what I did - http://bit.ly/uxMA6H

And obviously click on the first link of google.com

And since I use firefox I copied the url of default google.com and this is the url and u all might be knowing about it - http://www.google.co.in/
or for UK version of Google - http://www.google.co.uk/

So here the common sense comes into play i.e as we all know that https is better, more secure because all the communication is in encrypted.

And from the 1st and 2nd urls of google,
the 1st url is the only one that contains https + encrypted in its url compared to default (most used google homepage by most people in the world including me :p).

So does that mean that I've just discovered a new, more secure way of googling and please No offense to the people who already knew about it. I'm just sharing what I've discovered new I'm really happy with it so wanted to share here with all my MT members too :).
So please do comment on what u think of it and if u already knew about it then please guide me and other people along to learn more about the new
https://encrypted.google.com/
Thanks :)

Not sure what the difference is, because now Google have made it that even if you are logged in or not you are still using HTTPS Google.

HTTPS: to be simple, HTTPS is a protocol that ensure the encryption between the server and your computer via certificates, so theorically no one can intercept and read the packets during their transmissions (aka "Man-In-The-Middle").

Code:
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a widely used communications protocol for secure communication over a computer network, with especially wide deployment on the Internet. Technically, it is not a protocol in itself; rather, it is the result of simply layering the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) on top of the SSL/TLS protocol, thus adding the security capabilities of SSL/TLS to standard HTTP communications.
In its popular deployment on the internet, HTTPS provides authentication of the web site and associated web server that one is communicating with, which protects against Man-in-the-middle attacks. Additionally, it provides bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server, which protects against eavesdropping and tampering with and/or forging the contents of the communication.[1] In practice, this provides a reasonable guarantee that one is communicating with precisely the web site that one intended to communicate with (as opposed to an impostor), as well as ensuring that the contents of communications between the user and site cannot be read or forged by any third party.

What is the Difference Between http and https?

Your country most likely has its own https version, working examples below.

https://www.google.co.uk
https://www.google.co.in
https://www.google.ca
https://www.google.ie
https://www.google.ro

You're welcome. ;)

Doesn't Google Australia have it's own HTTPS connection? Thought that it did?

Jinkies! Thank you MrXidus sir for the detail reply with the previous thread links and screenshots. I've been a fan of ur since when u used to give the reg. + IDMan.exe (hope u understand :p).
I got to know of this site because of u so thank u again for that sir. :D
Now I think it would be not nice of me asking for more knowledge on this topic as it has already been covered here http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Google-Provides-Default-Secure-Search-for-users
So I would like to thank [(McLovin, Umbra & MrXidus) sir] again for the reply and helping me out.
I'm now so convinced and enjoy here that I feel like MalwareTips is second after Google in terms of helping as the members, admins, leaders, etc are like Wikipedia, that they know exactly which link to refer for a specific problem. MalwareTips on the rox \m/ :)
