Thanks for your config.:) Might there already be some system backup options with Windows 7 such as restore point or capturing system image on an external drive, or are thereo_O better known solutions for back up?

Pretty nice setup, however did you disable the firewall within Kaspersky?

Hi grrr.
Whether you prefer a paid or free alternative, your choices are great.
Our own Windows 7 SP 1 is protected by ESET NOD 32 & Windows Firewall.
If you'd prefer a suite including an integrated firewall, you can try a 30 day trial of ESET Smart Security.
Just about any paid AV can be tested for 30 days in order for you to find one that fulfills your needs.

If you've currently no AV in place, why not activate the native Microsoft Security Essentials?;)

Another free choice you might consider is Avast!
There are also some free Holiday Giveaways here. Just look near the top of this page, or go to our Free Giveaways section!:p Good luck, and Happy Holidays!:)

You may go to multiple engines like Qihoo 360 Internet/ Total Security (pick one). Resources isn't a problem since its been used mostly by users here ;)

Thanks guys.
As I want to keep Outpost Firewall, I cannot go for any Internet Security, as they don't allow customized installation. So am looking for AV only.
From AV comparatives report, I see Bitdefender AV and ESET's NOD32 getting good ratings. And Bitdefender AV rates even higher than NOD32.

Now sure on Qihoo to be trustworthy.
Avast Free is simple basic AV with no antispyware.

Any feedback on Bitdefender Free AV and Avira Free?

Also I couldn't find a comparison of AVs, only Internet Security Suites...

Out of curiosity why outpost? Don't get me wrong it's a good firewall. Just curious as what features drew you to outpost. :)

Actually I won a license for Outpost, so started using it. Didn't had a license for any other Firewall, so still with Outpost. Also there are hardly any standalone Firewall, mostly Security Suites.
