This forum, besides the New Member Introductions forum,is in itself a way of introducing yourself to the community but with some quality interaction with the members.
Some members are very experienced and enjoy helping others so please do not take the suggestions to heart.
They are meant to help the inexperienced and to give the experienced something else to consider that they might not have thought of.
The purpose of this thread is not to criticize but a two fold way for a new member to interact with the community and at the same time get another perspective on their config.
For the inexperienced maybe a more secure system and for the experienced a different perspective on their config.
Thanks for sharing and explaining your config and hope to see you active in the forums!

Registry Cleaners

If I'm not wrong CCleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner are the safest of the registry cleaners from internet reviews and that's why I'm using them. Most of thh times I'm using the Quick Clean method. They have not given me issues till to-date.
About Wise Reg Cleaner I could agree with you that it is reliable enough and in your experience it has not created problems, but I can tell you that its reliability is not 100% confirmed on the basis of my personal experience, with lost settings and errors while starting the software for my HP printer, with a request to insert the installation CD.
This is to say that the advice we give to you, are valid also for the other members and guests of this Forum, where the contexts are different.

In my opinion use any type of registry cleaner is MISTAKE. If you do not install of unistall software every day you dont need registry cleaner and if so ,when some registry entries cleaned you dont face error or instability immediately but it can make trouble in other time. Also Microsoft recommend to dont use it.

FYI, I install/uninstall software pretty frequent for I'm testing their compatibility on my system as well. Also, I do manual registry cleaning using regedit and searches remnant files/folders in my drive and removing them after a software uninstallation.

So, registry cleaners are a great help to me.

Thanks

You are right. There's nothing 100% safe and I have bad experience with other cleaners previously.

I use the word 'safest' is because there are many internet reviews on registry cleaners and I picked CCleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner based on those reviews.

If you have concerns in registry cleaning you should backup the registry before cleaning especially those 'deep cleaning' so that you can fallback on your backup in the case of eventuality.

Thanks

Thanks for the recommendation, but the most simple thing, for me, is to not use them, and peace of mind :)

That is a very overkill configuration, trust me in the end you will get fed up and remove half of them. On the brighter side, you're learning a lot about how all of these programs work/function. The only thing i can think of that you may not have covered is your router. Have you changed your routers default login credentials and do you have a strong wireless password? You may want to look into using PfSense or DD-WRT as your routers firmware. Also if you're regularly reformatting your PC then what is the point in using CCleaner or Wise? Lastly what are you hiding on your PC, if i may ask? Thanks for sharing your configuration.

OK, I'm using ASUS RT-AC5300 router for my 20+ wireless devices and previously using ASUS routers as well.

CCleaner/Wise Registry Cleaner with manual cleaning are for cleaning up after a software uninstallation so that no remnants will interfere with the next software installation.

For your question as to what I'm hiding on my PC why don't you tell me because I'm not sure either, ok?

Thanks

Secure but too much Windows Defender + AppGuard v5(Hardened) or VoodooShield(Free) or both would suffice... Why not add an image backup soft?! LV like SD or SBIE for testing purposes?!

Thanks for Sharing!

Maybe later I'll might move to a signature-less set up but not now for I don't have a second computer.

As of now any new software I trial is done on my only MS SP3 and not using any virtualization software. In actuality, any software I want to install will be a legit software (won't you do the same?) so the only issue(s) will be due to compatibility and not an unknown malware-infected software and that's for sure.

Like I mentioned in the long explanation aforementioned I don't have much to back up for my work files (copying the work files to my flash thumb drive daily will suffice) and I rather sometime format my MS SP3 to have a clean start provided when it gets screwed up like it hangs occasionally, performs weirdly etc.

Thanks
