Read my comment again. I said, "overall much less biased now". I didn't say it's completely unbiased. Elon has his issues.
How is it possibly less biased now that everyone with half a brain cell have already left and critics and journalists have been banned? Plus, now you got to contend with all the disinformation and trolls that's flourishing on the platform.

GAB and MeWe are even worse than Twitter (X). On GAB, I'm considered "Colored" because I'm Italian, thus what these people term a mongrel race. I mentioned on GAB that Israel, in my opinion, had an absolute right to defend itself and if that meant leveling every structure in Gaza, I supported it. They landed on me with both feet. Both GAB and MeWe are privately owned, and the owner of GAB absolutely refuses to delete anything except porn and pedophilia. For those, the poster is banned for life. Everything else is okay.
That is called free speech, many are upset with Elon and X because he has allowed this same free speech to punch holes in the once heavily censored and maintained echo chamber that was twitter.

Exactly. If you don't like it, leave. Don't visit the site any more. Disinformation? Disinformation is an opinion. Mine may be different than yours, whether I say it in person or on a site. They, a certain segment of the population all over the world, only want to hear what they think, or believe. Anything else is "disinformation" and they want it banned.

I don't do Twitter, or X. I have an account there but lost interest. My big mouth won't fit what I want to say in the number of characters allowed. I still visit GAB and MeWe, and tolerate the extremes. Like what they say or not, it's their right to say those things.

I've had 3 videos pulled because of offensive content (whatever that meant- "They" never would explain); this was rather a surprise to me as I don't believe any of my stuff was at all politically controversial.
Things like this are the worst. It's like putting someone in jail without telling the person why he was put there.

I'm not here to convince you to change whatever opinion you have. I shared my opinion in my initial comment based on my personal experience of still visiting X almost daily. Continuing this conversation is not my intention.

It's not only X , all social media platforms are nothing but a virus , platforms that spread hate and misinfomation at every turn, the world would be a much better place without it.
If I ever met Mark Zuckerberg I would love to punch him in the b@lls, Facebook was the undoing of all of this.

how is your position different than, eg, some Middle Eastern country schools teaching their children to hate certain people, kill them, become terrorists...? Say teach & spread whatever hate and disinformation you want? I value your opinion even when it may differ from mine, but don't tell me opinions are facts.

I'm not teaching school. Schools and teachers are supposed to teach children to read, write, do arithmetic, learn real history not today's sanitized version, and so forth, and not espouse political or religious views (with the exception of religious schools). If they're teachers in government run schools, I suppose they teach what they're told to teach.

My position is that people on social sites have viewpoints, whether political, religious, racial, or other. A social site is like a big park, where all types of people gather. Everybody is talking, and you might not like what someone is saying. It's not your business to tell them they can't say it because it offends you. If you don't like what you're hearing, quit kibitzing or leave the area and go to the other side of the park. That person has just as much right to be there and talk as you.

So, don't like what's being said on social media, just don't read the posts. It's that easy.

thanks for your clarification, we mostly agree in my opinion... (PS I never did Twiterr_X, saw things occasionally on Faceback that approached hate, I rarely go to FB anymore. Biggest "hate" or controversy I see is here about comodo CF  and some of those posts and users do get banned!! is MT social media, sorta I guess...)

I used to visit Twitter but quit a couple of years ago. I'll go look and read a few things every several months but haven't posted there since I left. It doesn't give me the room I need to run my big mouth,. FB, I'm still there when I'm not in their gulag. Too many relatives and friends there, and they won't leave.

And, yeah, Comodo FW here is the major thing. I don't have it on this new laptop ........ yet. But once it's gotten beyond the beta stage, or as beyond beta as any Comodo product gets, it'll be aboard.
