Have done so much and still cannot get rid of the adware!

Im not as informed as most on this site; however I would tell you that it is possible to clean it up. You should go here: Zemana AntiMalware Premium - Block online threats before the infections take place. and download your free trial and scan with that. This should do a very good job of cleaning your computer. And I see you have Avast installed, I never really liked that antivirus solution even though it is a decent product and well respected. If you are looking for free products I would recommend using 360TS here: 360 Total Security: Free Antivirus Protection | Virus Scan & Removal for Windows, Mac and Android

As for your infection, do a backup and do a clean install. If the issue still persists, reset your router by finding the reset button.
After it is cleaned, you can use software that prevents adware such as Unchecky. :D
