Limited Periodic Scanning allows Windows Defender to remain running in the background and periodically scan your PC for threats, even if you have another Antivirus installed for real-time protection.

For what reason did you enable or disable Limited Periodic Scanning?

@Huracan
So you can do that from right there in settings, very good.
Traveling to Gpolicy to edit the settings seemed a bit excessive.
I notice there you can disable the periodic scanning yet leave realtime protection on strange they are not tied together.
Your "realtime" protection toggle is greyed out i noticed too, is that default after the update of did you tweak something ?
Nice post brother. ;)

It seems that you haven't updated yet to the latest OS version.

That option, though, isn't available on my laptop. :(
I already updated a few hours ago and restarted more than twice, but that option isn't there. Maybe that's only available to the higher OS editions of Windows 10. :(
Mine is only Home Single Language.

You're right! Having an update now, will check back with you :p

I did. I don't see the harm in a periodic scan from time to time. As long as it doesn't have FPs, I'm okay with it.
As long as it does not behave like it does before the patch pestering the user to do a quick scan every time it feels lonely, I had it disabled in the past for that, then tweaked it so it could not send
notifications to my desktop. lol
