I've never seen it before. Not to disparage anyone who uses utility apps like this, but I try to do as much as I can through what Windows offers, and leave my laptop leaner and cleaner from to many installed apps.

Nero, I haven't heard that name since the burner days. DVD,CD,VCD ....classic emperor!

I too gave up on cleaners especially CCleaner. I now rely on Windows itself and Revo.

I purchased Nero TuneItUp back in 2023 for a casual use Windows 11 S Surface Go 3, because I needed a simple cache cleaning tool similar to CCleaner. It never worked it cleaned nothing, support was useless even when I provided evidence, and I eventually deleted it and moved on.

After seeing your post, I thought I’d give it another try. Turns out they’ve simply renamed it to “Cleaner+” in the Windows Store, which means my previous purchase is still tied to TuneItUp and is now invalid. The most annoying part is that once installed, the app still calls itself TuneItUp, proving it’s the same broken product with a new name slapped on top.

Stay away far away from anything Nero. They were good years ago, but those days are long gone.

"Trash Cleaner" sounds about right Stick with Privazer or Wise Disk Cleaner or Bleechbit is my advice.

I just go for Bleachbit anytime I need something specific. Else I use nothing, not needed.

Like the majority of cleaning and tune up apps, there's nothing remarkable about it. I don't see much point in paying for this, when there are excellent free alternatives such as Wise Disk Cleaner. If you want to clean a large amount of junk, Argente Utilities is a good option, as it can clean junk from a very large and ever increasing range of third party apps.

People really like to look for trouble. I got burned long time ago using CCleaner—lesson learned.

How though? I used to use CCleaner with winapp2.ini and had zero problems until it was sold to AVAST and became bloatware. The problem I have now with cleaners is that they don't delete EDGE history. You have to do it manually through EDGE. Even after killing EDGE through cleaners the history remains, never use to be like this something has changed.

IMHO TuneUp Utilities before AVG was a great software "against" my windows vista
