Sorry if im writing this in the wrong place.

So for the past 4 months or so i have been having an issue with my mouse, when swiping left or right even a little bit would make my character aim up into the sky each time and sometimes on my current mouse only it malfunctions in games and bugs out like it glitches out but any other mouse has the issue with going the wrong direction than what im swiping.

I have tried everything from:

Trying all usb ports (including my keyboards)
Tried windows 8 and reinstalled windows 10 3 times (formatted)
Unplugged my keyboard etc just in case some compatibility issue or something.
mouse settings on pc is fine.

I have also bought 3 new mouse pads and have bought the finalmouse2015 and that was even worse when i got it had it replaced 3 times, then i bought a logitech g502 and it did the same thing, sometimes when i swiped it would go bottom right of screen or top right etc.

My current mouse is working fine now for some reason but it did the same thing as the others and worse but for some reason it fixed itself better and does not do it that much.

This is a very weird issue and do not know how something like this is even possible as i have never heard of this i mean what else can i do that i have not?

Did you install anymouse software with any of the mouses, sometimes I have had these same issues with the mouse if I installed the software and also if I didn't install software that came with the mouse.

The only other time was YEARS ago with a mechanical mouse and lint was inside with mouse wheel.

If you have checked all other issues, and you said you even did a clean install, then I would suspect it is the motherboard.

If it's a laser mouse, most likely there might be an issue with the laser or something device frequency is interfering with the mouse.

Also, what brand mouse are you using? Did you install any new device, prior to encountering these random pointer movements?

i did have my mouse drivers installed but i tried uninstalling them, i even did a fresh windows install and never touched the drivers and it still happened.

Yes my current was a laser mouse but the other mice i got which was the final mouse 2015 which is optical and logitech g502 which is optical did the same thing but worst.

my current mouse is a corsair m65 but it dont matter what mouse i use, whats funny is my current mousse fixed itself for some reason but it did the same thing and sometimes now it malfunctions and my mouse response goes a bit i say (laggy) like it skips in game, but after a restart of pc or pressing some kind of sensitivity button on the mouse fixes it. very weird.

IMO, it could be your motherboard. You could try cleaning the dust inside PC and check whether mouse is workin' or not?.

i look after my pc no dust inside, i sent my pc bakc to pc specialist few months ago and they never found any hardware issue at all, i just got of the phone from them for 1 hour today and they could not find any software issues at all and could not find the cause as i have tried everything, its like its something that should not even be possible.

I guess i gotta wait a few months for my upgrade to broadwell e and see if that brings hope to my issue.

OK you have tried clean install, you have tried sever mice. SO we can rule those 2 things out completely.

IF IT WERE ME... I would uninstall everthing related to the newest mouse, I would use an uninstaller, like revo, or iobit uninstaller.

Then I would reboot....

Then I would download the newest software for my mouse from the manufacturers website, then get the mouse manual, follow the instructions very slowly and completely inorder to install the newest mouse software.

IF the mouse problems continue, I would try to be attentive to when the mouse problems happen. Is it when the computer is first turned on in the morning, or only after the PC has been running for a few minutes or hours...This will tell you if it is a heat issue, the circuitry expands when it gets warm and your connection would go funny...This would emply it is the motherboard.

In order to do this last test you have to turn off pc when you go to bed...I never let my PC run continuously.

i have already tried that and i have uninstalled drivers with revo and rebooted, i have even did a fresh windows install and it happened right away, the finalmouse2015 does not need any drivers as its a mouse without drivers and it happens with that, it happens right away when windows loads, just currently not with my current mouse for some reason its fixed itself better it dont do it as much.

I just tried the mouse on my laptop which has windows 10 as well and it did the same thing as my pc when i tested it on the desktop when doing a fast left turn or swipe to left it goes to top left of desktop.

It cant be windows 10 as i tried windows 8 fresh on my pc and it did the same thing as its doing here, and it cant be the mouse as i tried like 8 new mice which i bought from amazon, along with 3 new mouse pads.

This is very weird and cant get my head around it.

Ok, so I did experience something similar, as in mouse lag for just a few secs. For me I just found out the processes that were using my hard drive insanely, turns out wmpnetworksvc (Windows Media Player Network Services) was creating a sort of a bottleneck. Maybe, someone on my home network was accessing it or w/e. So, I disabled the thing and things seemed ok after that. Check your Resource Monitor, when your mouse get affected again, and check the HDD writes / reads, and which software is hogging or clogging your bandwidth.

Remember the floppy discs, that had a similar effect, when you'd access them?

thats just a little issue that my mouse has very rarely.

The main issue is when doing fast swipes to the left it goes to the top left of my screen so the opposite direction, i tried like 8 new mice and they did the same thing even after a fresh windows install with no software.
