What suggestions do you have for a person totally unfamiliar with this site? Where do I go to learn basically how it works? Where do I go to ask for help with performance problems, etc.?

AHA! I went to Malware removal. I didn't go there at first because I was looking for a place that dealt with performance issues. After all, I don't KNOW that I have maleware. But then I don't know a lot.

I have teeny questions:
1) What does the 'spy" icon do? Appears to do nothing when I click it.
2) How do I see a list of MY posts?

Hello @Ed_M1. Although this may have begun as 'thespooks' intro,
my first suggestion for '...a person totally unfamiliar with this sight..' Would be to post & be engaging which you have done & clearly are!
Now, I shall address "Where do (you) go?" (after posting this reply). By <clicking> your avatar or user name we begin to answer 'teeny question' #2: "How do I see a list of MY posts?". From the window or drop down selection, choose either "messages" or "my content".

I'm glad to hear from you! I've made a resolution to not be a 'hit-and-run' user this time. I.e., after I got a hugely messed up laptop fixed back in January, I didn't come to the sight again until I had another mess. I'm getting some great help with that now, but I need to stick around this time, get to know people, get to know the site--maybe even learn how to maintain my laptop so I don't get into messes every 6 months. Whadya think? Naive? or possible?

I'll change that fretting & sweating avatar soon. I'm beginning to find my way around here a bit.
