I have a very high interest in stopping cyber criminal activities so this seems like a place to go to share knowledge and help improve security solutions (by submitting not yet detected files, etc). I'm sure I'll learn a few things along the way. Currently going through school for Information Technology (programming, etc). It's the only thing I have interest beside games (starting to die down since games aren't like they used to be) and anime (great as it'll always be).
I'll probably spend most of my time in the Malware Samples area. I'm honestly addicted to testing every AV capabilities so I hope to be useful to many people here and else where. I never had one particular AV for too long before wanting to test another one. I tested most (all mainstream) but all change fairly quickly and more get released as time goes on.
As for firewalls, I can't seem to find one that suits me, so I'll probably stick with Windows Firewall since it has Inbound and Outbound protection. Good enough I guess since most of the time I go through a VPN anyway with no leaks although I don't like having no HIPS or similar module.
