Cant Update?

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

Tried to kill both Adguard & Voodoo-Shield, but still, nothing happens.

I have a problem with the new version of ProtonVPN Plus 1.18.5: I can't update to the new version, it has never happened to me before with any program, it starts as it should but then suddenly the information disappears from my screen, and when I check ProtonVPN is not updated.
My Windows version is 10.0.19042.906 64 bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not uninstall and install the new version? And then activated the new version.

I have tried that when I first saw the update, & I did reinstall but it just installed the old version, keeps asking for an update, I will try again, thanks.

Hi People, I have tried it both ways: same result, no update for me, I think because I am not able to uninstall ProtonVPN Completely, only the TAP.

Try uninstalling it with the portable version of Hibit: HiBit Uninstaller

Uninstall the VPN in first place, Go to explorer, unlock hidden folders, navigate to users "your", appdata, local, if you see any folder from Proton, delete.
