Troubleshoot High ram usage and cpu utilisation

High ram usage , slowdowns

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

After windows update my laptop is taking about 75-85% of ram and high cpu utilisation. Normally it takes about 35-45%. Could not find any unusual process taking so much memory in taskmanager

Do you have lots of application running in background?

Actually those cases must easily spotted through those processes that taking the ram and cpu cause these are ways to determine it.

If you restart your computer does happen always or after to take windows update or just happen randomly?

After disabling Hyper V, ram usage went normal. Virtual machine worker process was using high cpu.

Check your Page File Settings and upgrade RAM to more capacity if it is <=4GB.
Consider disabling unused services and startup items.
