Hello I have been fighting Conduit for several hours today on my primary machine and have I think eliminated most of everything associated with conduit.com. Great Site, and really good procedure for getting rid of this PUP. I just wanted to let whomever know that the link for Hit man Pro associated with the URL: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-conduit-search-virus/ seems to be redirected and is not going to actual site. Was doing great until I hit the: HITMANPRO DOWNLOAD LINK and was then selected the download for the 64 bit version, I was then not able to get around a download manager on this page that would have loaded yet more toolbars if you just click on the default links. I then googled Hitman Pro download selected Cnet ( which I used to trust). I always save as downloads , and scan with Norton Insight before installing. Due to Norton's report on the scanner I decided not to install Hit man as it was flagged as being extremely unstable, with a large population of users claiming weekly crashes after installing and running the software. Just thought I would mention. The first and third scans which were the ones that I ran seemed to remove most all traces of Conduit so I was overjoyed with the results. Machine runs much better now. Is there any alternative to Hitman? Thanks again for the help!
