Want to speed up browsing around in explorer?.... Then you might think about disabling thumbnail previews in folders.
1.Click the Organize button on any folder
2.Choose Folder and Search Options from the menu.

3.Click the View tab, and then check the Always show icons, never thumbnails checkbox.

4.Click OK, and you’re done.
