Facebook does not give any direct option to download videos, like images. But we have an oblique feature of Facebook that does the same with videos. For that, you will have to use the mobile version of Facebook. Let’s get started!

To start with, choose a video that you would like to download. The default URL of any Facebook video looks like the subsequent URL,

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=[unique ID]

If you have this kind of URL, you will get the PC version of Facebook website. You simply need to open the same video with the mobile version of the website. To do so, just replace the “www” with “m” – without quotes.

That means that the aforementioned URL would be looking like the following URL after replacing www.

https://m.facebook.com/video.php?v=[unique ID]

This URL will open the same video on mobile version of Facebook website. Following that, play the video and let it play for 1 or 2 seconds. Then, pause the video by clicking once (Optional).

Now, right click on the video and select Save Video As.

Right after that, you will have to enter a name and download path on the pop-up window to complete the download. OnChrome, it will open in the same tab, but in Firefox, a new tab will be opened after clicking on the video to play.

If you are an Internet Explorer user and would like to download Facebook video, you do not have to execute all those steps that are required for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox users.

Just replace the www with m, as you did in the first step and then hit Enter. Next, click on the video. Your video will be start downloading automatically.

In case you have any download manager software, the download will be completed through it. Otherwise, it will happen as in does in IE.

Rather than relying upon any third-party software or browser add-on, this is much better to make use of this trick to download Facebook videos. The video quality would not be so bad, too.

Hope you find the tip useful.

I 've made my personal java tool program to download several type of videos from several website (I don't trust the different programs from internet, or website that aims to make it for me :p) .
For programmers :
From
: www.facebook.com/video.php?v=[unique ID]
Example : www.facebook.com/video.php?v=986275558116306

=> in the web page source :

Between =>
and first => "]," without quotes ! ( to catch the entire structure)

=> lot of useful info inside :

"hd_src_no_ratelimit"
"hd_src"
"sd_src_no_ratelimit"
"sd_src"

"hd_src_no_ratelimit" and "sd_src_no_ratelimit" have two parameters less

=> to focus, because "no rate limit" :p

For each there are two occurrence (one without quotes, obfuscated - Unicode and chars to replace)

Example :

- obfuscated :

hd_src_no_ratelimit\u002=
522%3A%22https%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Fvideo-cdg=
2-1.xx.fbcdn.net%5C%2Fv%5C%2Ft43.1792-2%5C%=
2F13112214_1723254981297105_656764077_n.mp4%3Fefg%3DeyJ2ZW5jb2R=
lX3RhZyI6InN2ZV9oZCJ9%26oh%3Dd20a6003cfa75357bdb50ee96710d7bc\u=
002526oe%3D577C6187%22%2C%22

- easy to "understand" :
https://video-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/=
t43.1792-2/13112214_1723254981297105_656764077_n.mp4?efg=3DeyJ2ZW5jb2RlX=
3RhZyI6InN2ZV9oZCJ9&oh=3Dd20a6003cfa75357bdb50ee96710d7bc&oe=3D577C6187

Conclusion
=> Easy to make a program to obtain the good url (for hd or sd version)

@BoraMurdar Figured out a quick fix for your guide to still work. Edit the main post to specify that instead of changing "www" to "m", change it to "mbasic". The rest of the guide works accordingly.

The problem with mbasic is that it asks you to have a Facebook account in order to download the video.
It's been a long time since Facebook has allowed you to view much content without logging in. It's the only fix.
The current guide doesn't allow you to right-click on a video once you've started playing it, whether you're logged in or not.

Nah...
https://www.facebook.com/Gags.Netwo...735844672410/2024002764479047/?type=2&theater
mbasic.facebook.com/Gags.Network.Videos/videos/vb.1588735844672410/2024002764479047/?type=2&theater

Take this example. Every video which was made Public should be seen and played without a problem, a user having a Facebook account or not. But with mbasic instead of www , the video cannot be played or downloaded.

Anyway, the tutorial is more than 3 years old, so everyone should assume that it doesn't work anymore.
