Hi and welcome to the malwaretips.com forums!

I'm Kuttus and I am going to try to assist you with your problem. Please take note of the below:
  • I will start working on your malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine!
  • The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Refrain from running self fixes as this will hinder the malware removal process.
  • It may prove beneficial if you print of the following instructions or save them to notepad as I post them.
Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.

Before we start:
Please be aware that removing malware is a potentially hazardous undertaking. I will take care not to knowingly suggest courses of action that might damage your computer. However it is impossible for me to foresee all interactions that may happen between the software on your computer and those we'll use to clear you of infection, and I cannot guarantee the safety of your system. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system, or to necessitate you taking your computer to a repair shop.

Because of this, I advise you to backup any personal files and folders before you start.
<hr />

Please run the following utility so that I can get a log of your system...
STEP 1 : Run a scan with Combofix
Please read and follow very carefully the below instructions

Download ComboFix from one of the following locations:

COMBOFIX DOWNLOAD LINK #1 (This link will automatically download Combofix on your computer)
COMBOFIX DOWNLOAD LINK #2 (This link will automatically download Combofix on your computer)
----------------------------------------------------------------
VERY IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

<ul>
<li>Close any open browsers.</li>
<li>Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
<>Very Important!</> Temporarily <>disable</> your <>anti-virus</>, <>script blocking</> and any <>anti-malware</> real-time protection <em><>before</></em> performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause <em>"unpredictable results"</em>.</li>
<li><>WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts</>.Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.</li>
</ul>
-----------------------------------------------------------------

How to run the Combofix scan :
  1. Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  2. Accept the disclaimer and allow to update if it asks
  3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Additional notes:
<ol><li> Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.</li>
<li> Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.</li>
<li> If after the reboot you get errors about programms being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.</li></ol>

<h3>STEP 1 : Start your computer in Safe Mode with Networking and check how's the Internet working in safe mode.</h3>
<ol><li>Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then <>restart your computer</>.</li>
<li><>Press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts</>.Please keep in mind that you need to press the F8 key <>before the Windows start-up logo appears</>.
<em>Note</em>: With some computers, if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message. If this occurs, instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key", <>tap the "F8 key" continuously</> until you get the Advanced Boot Options screen.</li>
<li>On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to <>highlight Safe Mode with Networking</> , and then <>press ENTER</>.

Thanks for the reply kuttus. I noticed that Action Center automatically archived the issue about the Win32/Adload. But I don't think it has any effect on the speed of the computer because it is still painfully slow.

Attached are the screens of the programs you stated above. As to the speed after the restart, the computer still runs very slow.

Oh I forgot to mention that I complied with the second step (msconfig) and turned off the User Account Control.

Also, I unchecked everything in the two tabs but when I restarted, it booted up very slow. Why is this virus so persistent?

Anyway, thanks for keeping up with me.

It's still slow, it took approximately 8 minutes from pressing the power button to opening the browser.

Btw, do I have to recheck the processes I unchecked earlier in Autoruns?

Hey, my Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool got stuck at 67% for almost four hours, just scanning C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos\Wildlife.wmv which is only 300kb so I stopped the scan because I have to turn off the laptop. Do I have to rescan or just post the log? It found three threats during the incomplete scan.

Thanks!

It may be because of any error in the Hard Drive or System FIles... Virus also cause this...

STEP 1: Download and Run Windows Repair (all in one)

Download Windows Repair (all in one)

  • Install the program then run it.
  • Go to step 2 and allow it to run Disc check by clicking Do It
  • Go to step 3 and allow it to run SFC
  • Go to start repairs tab select advanced mode and click start.
  •  Check the box next to "Restart/Shutdown system when finished" and ensure the following is checked along with the default checks
    1. Reset File Permissions
    2. Register System Files
    3. Repair WMI
    4. Remove Policies Set By Infections
    5. Remove Temp Files
  •   Then click Start.

I run the Windows Repair this morning then re-run the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool but, after 6 hours, it still got stuck at 67% but in this file now C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos\desktop.ini. Any idea what I should do? It still found 3 threats (Trojan.Win32.Cosmu.ceez is one).

Anyway, ESET did not find anything so I will attach the Hitman scan and the Kaspersky scan (I saved the report on the threats detected).
