seems to be software related, i.e., after playing around with security config.
PC does not go into sleep mode by itself, only manually.
Is there some kind of a log I can check, to see if some process is telling my PC not to sleep?
how to do that?
win10

my current security config is in my signature, if it matters any.
I first noticed the problem when I had comodo installed, but I don't have it installed anymore.

Since you mentioned about security configuration then you need he possible culprit; some of security programs tends to have issue on that case.

Other possible solution can check and update the drivers. ( Link )

Make a system restore and see if it can recover the state where sleep mode is still working for Windows 10.

I restored from a system image in order to solve the problem.
I think it happened when I installed bitdefender anti-virus + comodo firewall.
that was a little too traumatic for my system.
