Hello,I have a HTC Nexus 9,and because of that I have just updated from Android 7.0 to 7.1.1 Nougat, and it is amazing what Google have done with their system since 4.4 KitKat,one of the new features is that you can restart the device from the screen when you choose to close Android, there is off course many things but i have a problem explaining in English, but 7.1.1. Is sweet that is for sure.

Hey,
I really cant understand why, when there is an update, the update not is sent to all android devices, but just a few, it is simply not fair.

What about if apple did the same?o_O

Not all Android devices are manufactured by Google (or Nexus-partners). The Android OS updates needs to be thoroughly tested by the hardware manufacture for your device, before being sent to your mobile operator (smartphone/tablet with SIM cards) for further testing and optimisation, then it's sent OTA or via built-in Updater.

There are also limitations with the device's hardware, for example, last years flagship smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon (8xx) processors cannot run the latest Android N versions, therefore the update cannot be delivered.

Apple devices are designed and manufactured separately - you will not see HTC make the next iPhone - that's why all iOS devices get updates in the same time frame.
