Hello and welcome to the Huorong test!

Huorong is a Chinese antivirus that is starting to make a name for itself.
For a long time unknown, the editor has gained popularity with the help of Malware Hunters and other testers.
Huorong's big plus point: It's totally free!

The interface has not changed, even if it is relatively clear, I find it a little old-fashioned... a little refresh I say no!
The software is very light.

As far as web protection is concerned, Huorong almost did a perfect job ! A threat has passed through. Huorong has the luxury to block some malware with the Sandbox and Behavior!

But, he was not so lucky on the pack.
In spite of an improved detection engine, it is the ice shower on the execution...
A malware managed to kill the protection, making the machine very vulnerable!
The engine started to consume a lot of CPU due to the infection, which pushed me to stop the test.

Even if Huorong is improving, I can't recommend it yet. Too bad, it was starting so well....

RAM Usage : Light
Malware URL test : 9/10 (1 malware missed)
Fake crack : 1/1 (detected)
Malware Pack : Remaining 25 files out of 219.
Huorong was off to such a good start because the publisher has improved its detection engine.
But it is a cold shower on the execution because a malware manages without any problem to kill the protection, making the machine very vulnerable!

Resistance to script attacks: Average

Result : The protection was killed by a malware. The machine is very slow as the antimalware service consumes all the allocated CPU. Test interrupted.

Recommand : No
System Clean : System infection, protection killed

Wow, didn‘t expect it to fail that hard!
It needs a lot improvements, not only in cloud / static detection, but even more in the BB part. Though it has decent HIPS which can be tweaked a lot, it cannot save the day at all.
Thank you for your thorough test @Shadowra!
