This is mostly an FYI post.

If you use HWMonitor, you may have noticed in the Tools menu there are 'Check for Driver Updates' and 'Check for BIOS updates'.

These are NOT developed by CPUID, but are affiliates software links.

They are linked to the Affiliated site, that appears very similar to CPUID's site.

Here's a comparison - (http://www.cpuid.com)

Results by URLVoid, 3 scanning engines identify the affiliated site as malware / scam / spam.

Don't get tricked by sponsored / affiliated software. ;)

Just about all of the free programs by CPUID are have these partner links.
For example check out PC Wizzard image.

To disable the ads in the GUI, go to- Tools-Options- uncheck "Show the CPUID Partner".

Also beware of MajorGeeks Software Updater the Driver Scan is provided by DriverAgent the same company that owns Bios Agent Plus.
If you click "Download" it opens your browser to their scam website when you are required to buy a membership to download your driver updates. It is a complete scam.

To be sneaky about that kind of stuff is just wrong...it appears that they make it look like it is part of the software, when it is not. Well I will definitely avoid using any of the CPUID software. Thanks -Littlebits- for the information!! :)
