Advice Request I bought MalwareBytes lifetime key is it worth it?

I never really looked at OS Amor, is it nagging or install and forget?

OSArmor is paid now, but Simple Windows Hardening is free and just install and forget if you want to try it.

Isn't Windows hardening just meant to save time? You can harden windows yourself, through group policies etc. I did it following a guide.

Of course, but for Windows Home users for example it's a pain to find a way to access group policies not to mention finding the right ones. But if you can harden it by yourself and don't want an easy way to reset the policies then it's not needed. How about you try the 30 day trial of OSArmor and decide if its worth it? I definitely think that it's the better option compared to Malwarebytes. If you have properly hardened your system I don't even think that you need anything else apart from an AV of your choice. Sometimes less is more.

Hey, I also have Bitdefender(Total Security) & an active Malwarebytes subscription, but I do not have Malwarebytes besides Bitdefender, which is a very bad idea.
I would throw out Malwarebytes mainly because you don't need two AVs and it is by far the least potent of the two.

Aforementioned, there's no technology MalwareBytes can provide that BitDefender isn't offering you already. In your case, MalwareBytes just consumes RAM and resources, and is not really adding anything interesting to your combo worth keeping it.

My recommendation is, if you want to keep MalwareBytes, disable real-time protection and keep the rest of the modules.

Yeah I have bitfender paid version and this malwarebytes and yes i always have them both active when i surf on chrome, edge and i keep my vpn on in case im visiting a shady website.

I've been considering turning a few things off on Malwarebytes since they have expanded real time protection. But I will tell you that, online, it catches easily 3-4 times more bad web pages than Bitdefender. Nine out of ten times, Bitdefender catches security certs. So at least run the Malwarebytes online protection and scheduled scans.

As for value? You got a deal! I have been using Malwarebytes for eternity on a lifetime license.

I'd recommend you to try Simple Windows Hardening which is much easier to confugure than doing everything by yourself, especially when you are not that much into this kind of thing. Download it here and apply the basic recommended settings in the settings menu: AndyFul/Hard_Configurator

I concur, but in a real life scenario with perhaps decades of observation, I think MB should be scoring a bit higher. My 3-4 times greater than Bitdefender observation was no overestimation. It is especially good at ads on a page that contain infected links. Something perhaps Bitdefender etc need to look at closer.

There are better security suites out there. MalwareBytes, in my opinion, has noticeably high FPs and, though it has improved recently, it is still a 2-tier AV product, which is even worse than Microsoft Defender.

So since last time I got my PC killed with a ransomware and malware now I have Bitdefender and I decided to buy Malwarebyte and got a lifetime key.
My main question is that if this anti malware software is worth it and does its job.
If ya have any suggestion of what to get for protections let me know!

Then install it and forget, coz it will do its job...malwarebytes is cool, even though i use kaspersky premium, since it has more settings. Malwareybtes is simple and straightfoward. Kaspersky is more advanced. If you want it to be strong, add a password on tamper protection, so if you are reinfected, the virus can't disable or stop it.
