Apologies for not responding over weekend - I started up again this morning & it ran the anti-malware programme - found problems & cleared them. I now no longer have a problem with AVG popping up however something seems to have deleted my NCH Hourguard Timesheet data & I cannot find it on my back-ups - I may not have backed it up properly but I have found reference in the AdwCleaner Quarantine file (see attached) Do I have any chance of recovering this data? (all *.csv files)?

AdwCleaner comes with Tools: Quarantine Manager & HOSTS Anti-PUP/Adware.

When AdwCleaner is first run to clean adware, it will create a new folder located at C:\AdwCleaner. The AdwCleaner folder contains sub-folders for Backup and Quarantine. Each of these folders contain sub-folders of the exact location (full path) an entry was removed from. In the event you want to restore an item, simply run AdwCleaner again.

Click Quarantine manager.
A log file of what was removed will open in a new window.
Scroll through the list and find the entry you want to restore.
Place a check mark in the box next to the entry(s).
Click the Restore button.

Thanks :)

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the tool by right click on the

icon and Run as administrator option.
  • Make sure that these ones are checked:
    • Remove disinfection tools
    • Purge system restore
    • Reset system settings
  • Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
  • All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)
The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
