Instagram users are being targeted by a new phishing campaign that baits them into giving away their credentials using fake copyright infringement alerts which implants a feeling of urgency designed to lower the users' guard.
The phishing e-mails distributed as part of this campaign use fake account suspension messages supposedly triggered by copyright notice and asking them to fill out a 'Copyright Objection Form' within 24 hours.
Crooks use phishing to trick their targets into handing over sensitive info via fraudulent websites they control with the help of various social engineering techniques.
