Troubleshoot Installing Windows after installing Linux Mint 17

I followed these directions, but I couldn't even install Windows

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

I created a NTFS partition and a bootable USB for Windows but I couldn't boot to Windows installation.

Did you set in BIOS first device Cd/DVD or USb and tried again ? I had similar issue and now it's ok.

You need a small partition at /dev/sda1 as windows loader partition .

If you can't boot probably DVD is damaged,make other one with FreeISOBurner.

Forgot to say, I could boot by using bootable USB for Linux, not WIndows. I used USB Image Writer in Linux.

Ok. IF you didn't set USB as first booting device on BIOS,then it won't work. You have to do that otherwise you can't install Windows.

the booting has nothing to do with what install on the hard drive.
something went wrong on the burning process.
you should be using this tool
download
now try to boot.
after booting you'll need to delete the partition and then install windows

You can download fresh ISO from Softpedia and burn it to DVD. You should get messsge press any key...

Ok, I used Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool to burn the ISO file and it worked . Many thanks to you guys for helping me
