Hello! Intel TDT (Threat Detection Technology) is a security feature that uses machine learning algorithms to detect malware and other threats on your system. It's supported by various security software, including Microsoft Defender ATP, SentinelOne, and Blackberry Protect.

Intel TDT is a set of technologies embedded into your CPU that allow greater visibility of AV software.
This combats fileless malware, ransomware, heavily obfuscated malware and other Trojans, that can typically evade antivirus software.

A lot of solutions support TDT.
Microsoft, Eset, Check Point, the new Comodo and many others. The list is growing.

Now I am going to ask the stupid question: Has anyone compared the ESET or any other AV detection on a machine with TDT and Machine without? (or TDT turned off...if possible)?

I think Intel TDT is more oriented towards business security products, I could be wrong though.

ESET also uses this technology in products for home users. (y)
Microsoft Defender is another one. But I think having support for Intel TDT alone is not enough. How a product uses the information obtained from the CPU to detect malware is up to that AV vendor. The detection rate will not be the same for all products.
SE-Labs did a test last year but I'm not seeing the name of the tested Enterprise product:

Only a select number of processors support Intel TDT. This Eset article includes a lists of compatible chips. Eset TDT

Example is mine below which Family 6, Model 154 & Stepping 3 is on that list. The article above is the most updated list I've seen as mine isn't listed on a Intel 2022 list.
