So I've been out of the security game for quite some time, 4 years I think, luckily I had no issues. I since came back with a new 11th gen Intel PC Laptop purchase. Right now I'm running the Norton Security Ultra that came with Acer Aspire 5 but I have alot of settings enabled in Windows Security. My realtime is currently Norton and its free for another 30 days so why not. I haven't found any issues with the two running side by side. Windows isn't in realtime right now I just wanted to use something fast while I upgrade/update security in stages.
Below is where I'm at as of right now

Browser - Edge with Ublock and WOT
DNS - Google
Account - Windows Hello (Biometric/Pin)
UAC - Maxed
Maintenance - I don't have anything yet, the world has definitely changed (It was CCleaner for me in the past)
Periodic Scans - I just use Norton and Windows Security for now. (I think years back it was Hitman Pro for me)
Passwords - None - Edge PC and Google on Android

Additions - Exploitation and Reputation Protection enabled in Windows, a few other settings I could remember like disabling Remote Access in services and so on.

So I hope this is the correct section to post in. I'm not at all done with my configuration as its been a while and I just bought this PC 48 hours ago. Let me know if I'm off to a good start and what else I need to work on.

In Device recovery & backup, I would use an Image Full System BackUp solution, Macrium or AOEMI BackUpper .. I would not trust only in Windows System Restore Points...

Maybe Norton Ultra + Voodoo S. + all the other security tweaks is a bit excessive...🤔

Maybe set your primary user to standard user after creating another admin account. Takes little effort after initial setup, when you don't need admin perm often.
