Hello Guys .
I being used Terabox Cloud service for a few months ago , its offer a free space storage more than any cloud services.
I got 1024GB permanently free storage after some steps.
The question: is Terabox safe ?
What is the difference between it and other cloud services like Google Drive about Privacy?

I wouldn't trust free storage. If anything is free you are what money is being made off of.

I have been using TeraBox for two years and I can say that I have not encountered any data security or integrity issues. I was having some doubts about using TeraBox due to some negative reviews online. But I was looking for a large space cloud storage and TeraBox seemed to be the answer due to its 1TB of free storage, so I gave it a try. Then I continued to use it for two years. Recently, I also happened to see a video on youtube about whether terabox is safe or not. This video says TeraBox uses a multi-factor authentication system. It makes me feel at ease using it.

I hate them with passion. For start, they are a Chinese company so don't expect any privacy at all. Their download speeds are extremely low and for larger files they require their app for downloading. They also use million domains for the same service like some kind of torrent site. Free plan is constantly becoming more and more limited.

I'd avoid Terabox at all costs.

That's a great question about Terabox. When it comes to cloud services, especially ones offering huge free storage like Terabox, it's crucial to consider privacy and security. Google Drive, for instance, is known for its robust security measures and integration with Google's ecosystem, but it might come with different privacy considerations compared to a newer service like Terabox. To determine if Terabox is safe, look into its encryption methods, data handling policies, and user reviews for any concerns about data security. Checking its privacy policy and terms of service can also give insights into how it handles your data compared to established services like Google Drive. Ultimately, it's about balancing the convenience of large storage with your comfort level regarding privacy and security practices.

Many people generally worry about two issues before using TeraBox: data security and privacy protection. One concern is data security. TeraBox has currently moved its database to Japan, which is the most secure country for data in the world. Another concern is privacy protection. When TeraBox APP is launched on Google Store and APP Store, it will face layers of review. That is to say, at least from the perspective of the Google Store and APP Store, TeraBox is trustworthy.

Google cannot even keep untrustworthy apps out of it's OWN store, how am I supposed to rely on it telling me something else is trustworthy? I wouldn't trust Google as far as I could spit.

Not That I think Terabox is untrustworthy , I have a free account there and use it frequently and have not had any issues, then again , I don't upload important or sensitive data to ANY cloud storage service.

If it is not end-to-end encrypted, you don't have to trust it.

Is there a file size limit? That is usually the limitation with "unlimited" storage services aside from a low upload/download speed.

P.S. Paid version has 20-128GB file size limit, so apparently so (4GB) and they limit the number of files 20, that is 80G max not 1024GB? Still the paid option looks interesting.

I've just tested it... there's a lot to say!
Personally, I wouldn't recommend it at all...

I created an account, downloaded the software and tested it.

I wanted to upload a 46GB file to see if the servers would hold... complete failure, you have to pay.
(While I'm trying, TeraBox offers me a standard speed or I have to pay).

I'm trying with a 1GB file that sends quite quickly (between 9 and 11Mb/s which is between 80 and 100Mbps, far from my upload speed).

While sending, I decide to see if TeraBox encrypts the transfer. The answer is clear: NO

I was able to read the IPs used by TeraBox without any problem. One in China (not surprising, TeraBox is Chinese) and another at a London-based Cloud hosting provider.
I wouldn't recommend it... Just looking at the terms of use didn't give me much confidence :D (and giving away 1TB for free when you have to pay for maintenance, servers, connections etc... takes money).

Of course, this service cannot be trusted with really important and confidential information. Even if you encrypt your files (at least with an archive with a password), there is no guarantee that the service will cease to exist at some point and your important files will be lost. I'm not talking about privacy at least and this is big question to Chinese companies.
On the other hand, the service provides a lot of space. I would use it to store completely unimportant and non-personal files to share with others. I would use it as an analogy to a file dump. :)

Yes, Terabox APK is a safe and reliable cloud storage app that offers secure and encrypted file storage with a user-friendly interface. It provides unlimited space, fast uploads, and advanced safety features like two-factor authentication to protect your data. Many users trust Terabox for storing their photos, videos, and important documents. As long as you download it from official sources, it's a great choice for anyone looking for hassle-free and secure cloud storage.

I use Terabox and it works just fine. As with any cloud storage, your data is only as safe as the company itself, cloud storage comes and goes whether you pay for it or not, over the years I have seen cloud storage companies pop up and also just disappear. Also, your data is only as secure as you make it, NEVER rely on any cloud storage companies promotion of "Encrypted Space" ALWAYS encrypt your files yourself BEFORE uploading. With that said , some rules to live by when using cloud storage ....

1.) Redundancy is key, especially if you are uploading important stuff. If you are unable to store your files locally, always, always upload in multiple cloud locations, like I said , cloud services come and go, most without warning.
2.) This goes for any cloud service .... use a STRONG password, if they offer 2FA or passkeys, USE IT, If you have bio metrics capability , especially if using any cloud service on a phone app USE IT.
3.) I live by the code that to never upload anything to the cloud that you cannot afford to lose, this is why redundancy is crucial with important files. Upload a household or company spreadsheet , family pictures .... or even your favorite porn for that matter, if that cloud service goes belly up without warning , your files and pictures all go bye bye, there is no recovering them , if you don't have them stored locally or on another cloud service , they are never coming back.

These days physical hard drives are way cheaper than cloud storage when you do the math, which is what I really steer people towards, barring someone breaking into your home or office and stealing those hard drives, your data will be much safer stored that way, one can purchase an 8TB external hard drive for a fraction of what you would pay for just a couple of TB's of cloud storage per year.
Like I said, I use Terabox, I don't pay for it, I don't pay for and never have paid for any cloud service. Terrabox offers 1024GB of free space which is more than any other free space I have seen so I don't need to worry about running out of space. Everything I have stored on it , if Terabox went belly up tomorrow the loss would be no big deal.
