Advice Request Is this RAM compatible with my machine?

I'm wanting to upgrade my Lenovo W540, will these sticks work in my computer?
Corsiar 8GB RAM

Well, the specifications are here. According to that, it takes up to 16 GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz. So, in a word, no. However, you can scan with Crucial compatability tool to see what your specific model can take. It's safe, free, and I've used it myself. Buy whatever brand you want.

This seems to be a very nice laptop for back in the day.

Something like this will work fine, if you have the dual core you can put two sticks in if you have quad core you can put four.
