Gen Digital/AVG has finally resolved the YouTube issue after nearly a year-long struggle. Today, I received an update to AVG’s VPN that fixes the problem where users were incorrectly detected as bots and prevented from playing media. This update addresses a long-standing and frustrating issue that has affected users for quite some time.

Unfortunately, that's usually the case with VPNs. People use VPNs to do shady stuff and IP addresses get blacklisted. This is why Tor is practically unusable.

Try changing IP addresses to see if the problem is really solved or you just stumbled upon clean IP address.

I noticed some recent changes and believe they’ve updated their infrastructure. They’ve been working on it for quite some time, though communication about progress has been limited until today. After receiving the latest update, I saw that YouTube is now functioning properly. At this point, I don’t expect any further issues.

Is this the same issue that you need to login to Youtube whenever on VPN

They probably went on and cleaned their IP addresses. But I wouldn't expect this to last. As soon as someone starts abusing their service again, it will happen again. I had this on multiple VPN providers when I tested them.

Go to whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check and see on how many blacklists is your VPN IP address present. It shouldn't be on a lot of them, maybe 3 or 4 max.

I think so.
