Hi. Here is my computer security configuration. I have a Dell System Inspiron N7110 x64-based laptop PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601. It has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2310 CPU @ 2.10 GHz, 2100 MHz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s). I rate myself as having medium level computer security and awareness because I know some things about security but have much to learn. All help/suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you! :)

I would say this is an excellent config! You have everything covered.
The fact that you back up everything important to you, and keep these items off your machine, means you will not ever have any worries. :) It is the best way to secure your important things.

I run my machine the same way, i back up everything onto flash drives, and store nothing on my machine.

Good security configuration. You can add few things to Google Chrome that may be 'WOT' , 'HTTP Everywhere' , 'Zenmate' 'Ghostery' etc . And as per the suggestion Mr Illumination gave, you can use any one of these tools for your back up.

FREE Backup
AOMEI Backupper;

Comodo Backup; http://www.comodo.com/home/data-stor...odo-backup.php
EaseUS Todo Backup Home; http://www.todo-backup.com/products/...p-software.htm
Macrium Reflect (free version imaging only); http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp
Paragon Backup and Recovery 2013; http://www.paragon-software.com/home/br-free/

You can put 5 tons of security on your system and still not be 100% protected. It is why i commended Jessica's approach of backing up her important items in the manor she is doing, it is literally the safest way to cover your backside.

Should one get infected, and need to reformat/reset, they lose nothing this way, and gain a peace of mind.

In most cases from asking the OP, they've since switched their AV, and Kaspersky is known to be a solid layer of protection.
