I have UAC set at "Always notify" too! ..and I liked how you used "*.1" instead of the number 8.1, lol!!

For added security when using IE, go to "Tools" >>> choose "Internet options" >>> then under "Security"

• check the box "Enable Protected Mode" (it's beneath the security level slide control).

In Chrome, for both security & privacy, you'll need an ad blocking extension which
is ultimately your own decision. Here are two (both use very low resources) you can look into:

A blocker of java script (like Firefox's add-on "NoScript", is shields like UAC in a sense) protects against vulnerabilities, and on sites you trust scripts can be unblocked.
