Hi K M and welcome! I see that you are looking for another real time av. Avast is a great one and it's free you can check it out here. http://www.avast.com/index But make sure you use up you're Avira subscription first before switching.

Why not? It is as good as it can get. People using Avira Premiun are getting
infected right at this moment but people using Shadow Defender....are not.
You can be one of them.

They are not getting infected. Only advertising screens that's the worst. And the premium users are not getting infected they are just getting Un-wanted Emails.

Hi ryan, what I meant is that people that uses antiviruses do get infected
all the time. If you go to the Avira forum, you ll see a subforum for people
that gets infected. That includes users of Avira premiun.
On the other hand, people that use Shadow Defender 100% of the time
don't get infected.

Ok misunderstanding i thought you meant users where getting infected by the Ads with in Avira. Yes i agree nothing is 100%

Hey, and i tried installing avast and had to roll back with Rollbackrx because there were two problems:

1. Avast real time shields and firewall would not turn on
2. My internet stopped working for no apparent reason.

And i have a serial from avast IS intill 2012 for doing a video for them

But sadly i can not use it :/

I tried everything basically, reinstalling it, malware/virus scan, cleaning up files... etc... i really want to use avast but can not fix it

download avast removal tool on their site, uninstall avast, run the removal tool, clean the registry with ccleaner, reboot , reinstall it

Avira turns off maybe every other day and i have to open it to start it..

I think something needs repaired idk what tho.

Yea i just turned it on. Still does not fix my problem with avast tho :/
