I did that and they still showed up. I read in one of their support pages that the popups can't be disabled. The same goes for those that show up for trial versions.

Have you disabled the scheduled Smart Scan?
I've used the free version for many days without a single popup.

I'm sure a lot of you already know this trick, but just in case....if you type geek:area into the search bar, you will get some advanced settings that can be tweaked. AVG example shown below. Thanks to @Nunzio_77 for for showing me that one.

Having set to the notifies in "limited" mode and having laughs all the flags in the privacy management, I no longer see? (months must have passed by now) the pop-up advertisements inviting you to switch to the payment version, which instead previously appeared in the bottom right at least a year
I have not brought modmodifies to the GEEK area for rue levguard notification.

Avast with these new notification settings is now practically silent as notifications, it no longer shows those annoying popups and marketing notifications. Notifications only appear when it detects something. As for resource usage, it is excellent even on "old" PCs. At the moment on the system it is very stable and is not creating problems for me. The protection seems to be very effective and reactive, both from the tests that I have done in a very artisanal way and both by watching the tests on YouTube and obviously the official ones of AV Comparative, AV Test, etc...
