Kaspersky Lab released a new patch C for Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 (version 12.0.0.374).

The patch C is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 version 12.0.0.374 are updated.

Fixed issues:

  • Fixed problem related to the addition of an activation code during the installation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 over Kaspersky Internet Security 2011.
  • Fixed problem when opening Gmail, Google Reader, Picasaweb and other pages in Google Chrome.
  • Fixed problem related to the activation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 (Japanese version).

Kaspersky released patch D for their products which basically gives its users support for FF 6.

On 15 August 2011 Kaspersky Lab released a new patch D for Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 (version 12.0.0.374).

The patch D is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 version 12.0.0.374 are updated.

The patch eliminates the problems concerning Anti-Banner, Virtual Keyboard and Web-Antivirus plug-ins display in Mozilla Firefox 6.

Kaspersky has started the beta stage for its 'E' patch.

It's good to see that Kaspersky is really committed to maintain the 2012 version.I've notice that Kaspersky is also releasing its patches at a faster rate similar to what the browser developers are doing , if in the 2011 version the Russian vendor released less patches but with hundred of fixes , in this edition it seems like they want to patch all the bugs as soon as possible.

Kaspersky has released for beta testing patch F, here are the details :

Planned for fix:
1. Long paths is not fit in alert of restore from quarantine
2. After delete gadget from Windows Sidebar and reboot system it still present on Windows Sidebar
3. Programm popular is disappear from Application Activity window (in some causes)
4. For category "social networks" heuristics was disabled in Parental Control
5. WTB (Web Toolbar) baloon was not closed if user open link from it
6. Markers of WTB are absent in some browsers
7. Firefox 7 support (WTB and VK)

If you found problem, please check it on 12.0.0.374 (a.b.c.d.e). This topic only for problems of hot-fix .f

The patch G eliminates the following problems:

Some interface problems of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 version 12.0.0.374.
Problem of updating the program databases.
Error concerning display of the license validity period after adding an additional activation code
Error concerning display of the number of remaining days and the license expiry date.
Error concerning display of detected and eliminated threats in the Security problems list
Problems concerning Anti-Banner, Virtual Keyboard and Kaspersky URL Advisor display in Mozilla Firefox 8.
Problem of the “Key file is corrupted” error during the program activation has been eliminated.
Problem concerning “hanging” of MS Office Outlook 2007 during scan of large archives (larger than 30 Mb) embedded into mail messages by the Anti-Spam component.

Kaspersky is working in their beta forums at patch 'H' for KIS 2012 :


We are waiting your help on hot-fix .h testing Changes in it:
- Fixed some crashes
- Firefox 9 support
- Firefox 10 support
Update have about 30 files. But for control you can check files from this list:

avpgui.ppl в %ProductFolder% версия 12.0.0.458
httpanlz.ppl в %ProductFolder% версия 12.0.0.459
webnetstat.ppl в %ProductFolder% версия 12.0.0.456
For check:
1. Copy files in other folder
2. Rename *.ppl to *.dll
3. See files properties
