I can see why WD is slow, you'll definitely need to upgrade your hardware for Windows Defender. ;)
I just wish gaming on Linux wouldn't be this complicated. I could run a KVM but Ryzen currently don't have integrated GPU.

Apples and oranges are different.

Kaspersky instead should focus on their mainstream products and think as a good opportunity that Microsoft allowed third party security software to be installed on Windows to provide protection.

Microsoft focuses not only on Antivirus side but the overall OS product.

This data would only be collected from Windows Mobile users only I presume?

Certainly from Cortana, I would not be surprised if they also collect from IE and Edge.
