The problem always here is the stability of the owner from numerous issues, sometimes it can mitigate to make any established services to result on downfall.

Yep, Mega is generous. Though I wouldn't delude myself about their encryption. It's much safer to encrypt your files locally and then share them with the cloud storage. One can do that with CryptSync or other similar apps.
There was MU and it shut down 5 years ago, now there's Mega and it may get shutdown. Then we will have MU2 and 5 years later it will also go down and then there will be again Mega 2 and like that.
@Solarlynx: Yes at the end of the day, secured files is way better to store locally than in cloud. A matter of perspective on how a person should be comfortable on a choice.
The developer must ready for any intrusion attacks on the 'secured servers' and admit for any lapses operation.
