Battle KIS 2013 vs AIS 8

Hello,

I am interested to know what you guys think of the two. I know a lot of people really love KIS, I am not sure how many users on here are fans of avast!.

State your opinions why you like one over the other, or if you like something else better than both of these what would it be and why?

What do you think of the new Evo-Gen from avast!?

I didn't wanna say KIS 2014 because I know it's in beta and I'm sure Kaspersky has a lot of bugs to work out and fix.

When it comes for stability, some reports from users experience problem in dealing Avast 8 especially slowdowns and BSOD.

If I'm depending on the independent testing organization, its like a top for KIS over AIS but still varies results.

i'll go with avast,i never really like KIS i tried it didn't like it one thing thats important for me is the impact an av make on my system whether i have a powerful system or not i don't like av or internet security suite which eats up my ram and resources but thats only me,last time i tried avast apart the webslow down i encountered its really good

My vote goes to AIS for customizable configuration, low resource usage and sandboxing features. I'm not a fan boy of any product but let's wait for KIS 2014 version to see where it gets better than AIS and KIS 2013.

In term of users base MSE is not bigger than Avast! ..

Personally I'd go with Avast, since I've experienced better system snappiness with it and I'm really impressed with the latest malware tests.
You'll be fine with KIS too, they're both excellent products and will keep you safe and clean.
Just test them and see how your system handles them.

Hmm, maybe Emsisoft Internet Security, but I haven't tested it myself. People seem to be very pleased with it though.

Emsisoft ist great, powerful features, easy to use, definitely lighter than KIS on performance.

Thank you everyone for your opinions!

I am a fan of both of them. avast! was the first antivirus I have ever used. I started using it back in the 4.8 days where it had the car music player UI and was quite annoying to operate and when it caught a virus it was quite alarming. Back than I didn't know much about viruses so those pop ups freaked me out a little but it saved me quite a lot. Another time the boot time scan helped get rid of this nasty virus that avast! had trouble deleting normally.

I have used Kaspersky but it seemed to slow my computer down. That was on my 4 year old laptop. I now got a new one this year and I've tried KIS and it didn't slow down much. Except it blocked all my metro apps on me for some reason. I really hope KIS 2014 will be better and I hope the memory and CPU usage goes down.

They both have there differences, and all in all I think it's matter of personal preference.

AIS: i don't like its BB, the rest is good.

If we would categorize it, for paid version Kaspersky is one of the popular in the markets while Avast is famous in being free with its version withhold.
