install on Windows 8, antivirus update to patch B, and then upgrade the OS to Windows 8.1

rofl one of the stupidest things ive ever heard.
so kaspersky expect me to:
-uninstall my current 8.1
-install 8 and all my apps
-install their AV
-update the av
-upgrade to 8.1
so i can have their av on my 8.1!?
again, rofl.... my response to Kaspersky is F.U !

sorry if thats inappropriate to say but thats how i feel about kaspersky products nowadays...

The "B" hotfix/patch is now released. As usual it will be a staged release over the next few days.

Simply reboot after an update and you should be able to see the "B" designation if you click on "Support" in the main window of Kaspersky. Again, not all will see this immediately, it will take a few days all users to get this patch.

You can check the update report to see if it's installed...instead of rebooting every 3 hours and get frustrated!

Temp release notes (from the beta forum) until an official one is available:

New features:
• Windows 8.1 support (upgrade from Win8)
• FF 23/24 support

What's fixed
• Improved Trusted Applications mode
• Product crash while reactivation (currect activation is still actual)
• Using masks of e-mail addrs in Anti-Spam settings
• GUI: Problem List: The long path for suspic threat is cut in PL
• Reports: Anti-Banner: the number of blocked banner not correct in Reports
• WebAV: "Check URLs for" radio button switching
• ODS: Product file avp.exe rolledback after malware disinfection
• ODS: Reports: Vulnerability: Wrong description for detected vulnerable object
• GUI: Text disappeared after change settings in exclusion rule for trusted application
• PC: Can open PC settings without request of password
• GUI:ODS: Schedule scan settings for monthly period doesn't save
• Other fixes of functional and improving of perfomance

If you read carefully it states iys windows 8.1 compatible so no uninstall will be required.

Its more aimed at people who are planning to upgrade to 8.1
