Make your video test requests!

@Shadowra, buddy, would you test the unhackme program?

I'll watch it before then ;)

(Especially since there won't be any videos from December 22 to January 15, as I'll be taking my end-of-year vacation and spending time with my wife ;) )

I'll 2d the request for unhackme 17.80 test when you have time. > Are you a tad too geeky if you can find your unhackme user registration info from Jan 2016 used on win7 that was then stored on a hdd that had crashed and had to be recovered, and today and since July 2017 you're using different hardware. Or not really? ...feeling a certain sense of satisfaction... :p but in no hurry to use unhackme again until @Shadowra either gives all clear or not recommended. :cautious:

update to above re unhackme (fwiw) I used their online form at unhackme support, and I got a popup on the screen that said they sent a reply to my email, but it never came, also not in spam box or trash. so imo that's worse than no-support -- although on second thought my router does block certain countries...

Hello :)

A little idea I had this morning...
A lot of people watch my videos, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Seeing that you like it motivates me to continue making them.

You should know that I spend about 2 to 3 hours per video, in preparation, sampling, testing, editing and uploading! 😁
But, it can happen that I frustrate some members, because their requests they made to me, I can't find them anymore.....
It's not my fault unfortunately, hence this topic.

So, throw the Antivirus or Duo you want to see!

Note: You must indicate the name of the antivirus, its version, and if I have to configure it. Without precision, it will be tested with the default settings.
Also read what I plan to test, which avoids proposing for nothing.
So, ready? Submit! 😉😉

What I have planned:

- Microsoft Windows Defender
- LMT AntiMalware
- Norton 360
- Avira Free

I know this solution has gone the way of a dodo but I would love to see HitmanPro Alert of wahtever the realtime one with HitmanPro included test by it'self and as an adjunct to the most leaky AV/ML soltuion. I just want to see if HItmanPRO still does something or is it just a feel good thing? Also, I would like to see it's keyscrambler at work; does it really prevent keyloggers? (by prevent I mean scrambling the keys)

I mean you can see that KeyScrambler does what it advertises. You can even set delays to every keystroke so that your keystroke pattern can't be analyzed. You will notice the delay when typing something. On ther other hand I highly doubt that an additional solution to protect against Keyloggers is still up-to-date.

I hope you won't mind if I post a reminder here, @Shadowra , and take a moment to set the record straight.

First and foremost, about a decade ago, I served as the MalwareHub moderator. I took that position seriously and advised others often. My experience is valid, as those who know me can attest. For those who don't, I was known by the handle 'illumination' back then.

Post in thread 'Analysis of modules for protection of online banking and payments – 2026 edition' AVLab.pl - Analysis of modules for protection of online banking and payments – 2026 edition

In light of this, I am sharing a post from one of the 'GOATs' of the MT Staff, who is greatly missed. This is the second part of my reminder regarding the risks of testing malware, even an expert can misconfigure a setting or overlook a potential issue. Executing live malware is not a game, and consequences can befall anyone.

Pressuring a user such as Shadowra, as is being done here, could eventually lead to a similar error on his part, one never knows. Please give him a break regarding these requests, particularly the redundant ones. Here is a glimpse of how easily a test can turn sideways

@Shadowra When will the test with Bitdefender Free edition be published?

As always, I'm behind on all the videos ;)
My little new project is just so difficult to set up, and I'm starting to run out of time IRL

Shadowra, I was just wondering what's your security set up on your main computer these days? Enjoy the remainder of your vacation.

I should update my security topic, yes ^^

All I can say quickly is that I have a well-known antivirus program that I really like, with modified settings, a carefully customized Windows, and I make system backups very regularly :)
My VMs are not on my main Internet network but on another connection. I use a 5G router with a SIM card and a specific plan (a 5G plan with 200GB of data that I pay between €10 and €15/month for, which I cancel to change the number). This router is connected to a small VPN that I created on a VPS server hosted in France (I currently have 6 IP addresses reserved on the block that I paid for).

And to do this, I have two network cards on my machine with fairly specific and compartmentalized configurations ;)
