Make your video test requests!

I've just tested it: it won't be tested on video.
Why not?
Let me explain.

I installed it (I had to go through Google because it was impossible to create an account - even with Vivaldi) ...
The program is very slow, saturating the entire CPU several times (it uses Web scripts and above all Powershell, totally slowing down the system, even the analysis I tried - unsuccessfully).

So I downloaded 1 infostealer and 1 CoinMiner - no detection. Note that it opened several processes named “MalwareToast.exe ”, I don't know why.

So I decided to analyze the files manually.
I realize that it's based on Claude3 (you get 10 scans with the free version) ... already I'm not sure it's legal, but I've had a lot of errors... No analysis worked after a slow upload... (I have fiber)

I execute, no reaction. The only jerky reaction is to report Ransomware. Lost! CoinMiner is up and running

I finalize by launching NitroGen and Akira, which I've downloaded.
Akira had no trouble opening all the partitions and encrypting everything.
I stop.

Sorry to hear that @Shadowra , Real Time Protection was silently crashing due to race conditions so it wasn't actually running. OmniDefender Version 1.1 has now fixed those issues and Real Time Protection is now fully functional.

Here's a live demo of OmniDefender Version 1.1:

Thank you for mentioning custom scan's issues. We're now working on fixing it.

Nice UI you’ve got in there and I am a developer, so I know errors can occur (and sometimes it’s like they just drop from the sky).

But you are releasing software, with a racing condition (which is quite easy to avoid) — in the real time protection. Meaning you’ve created false sense of security, displaying green checkmarks and “You are Protected” notices, meanwhile, malware has been free to sneak in.

That’s not really a good start and not really a trusted piece of software.

MalwareToast notifies the user when malware is detected.

Hello @Trident,

I appreciate your feedback! Racing conditions are generally easy to avoid until you include kernel drivers which communicates with real time protection in perpetuity as it introduces more complexity. As I've already mentioned OmniDefender Version 1.1 fixes those issues and also displays a window if real time protection encounters any issue and stops functioning so the user will be alerted immediately.

Was the software in some limited beta when it happened, was it the first deployment on a wider scale of machines?

Also, do you have any <more-> technical details about the engines? For example I’m curious how the intrusion prevention works. Is it traffic-based with signatures, traffic-based, blocking connections to fully qualified malicious domains or is it something like behavioural analysis/HIPS?

General release (July 25th): v1.0 went live publicly. v1.1 shipped 3 days later with the race‑condition fix.

Intrusion Prevention implements a reverse DNS lookup on known bad IPs on qualified malicious domains connected to your PC, leveraging Threat Intelligence Databases. We are working on ways to further improve Intrusion Detection.

Are you happy for a review of this sort to be published, regardless of what the results are?

There's still 1 video to upload (or 2 if @danb manages to get SiriusGPT out before I go on vacation)
This video will be released on August 6.

After that, I'll be on vacation, so no video ;) (yes, your favorite tester is also allowed to go on vacation, I'll be gone for 10 days and then I'll treat myself to a day at the spa ^^ )
When I'm back, I'll do the intro for 2025/2026, new VM and above all, like every year, new graphics.

Excellent summer to all ;)
