Hello guys,

My online course teaching malware analysis will be launching in a couple of weeks time and so I'm offering the sign up sheet now in case anyone wants to join up. Have a look below at some of the subjects that will be covered (note, these are only a selection of what I'm working on, there will be much, much more content once the course is online and running).

Requirements:

A basic understanding of computers is needed. You don't have to be comfortable with programming languages, operating system internals to begin the course. All you have to be is motivated and willing to learn.

Nope, think of it as a whole bunch of tutorials but with projects you can complete, one to one help (through a messaging system) etc. No webcam needed. The course can last as long as you want, you're basically learning at your own pace, so you can choose to follow the whole course or just do bits of it that interest you :)

ok i understand but wut will be my projects? already suffering from college projects :p

It's just optional stuff, like here's a binary which has some anti-debugger tricks, when you can successfully bypass the anti-debugger you're ready to move on to the next stage :) That kind of thing

Previous analysis experience?: Ive tested malware againts av programs thats about it.
What are you hoping to gain from this?: Skills that help me with knowing more about malware and to help other people.
Anything specific that you want to learn?: How to see if a file i download is malicious, How to find malware on my computer my self, and what the malware is intended to do.
Any other comments: Ill try my best :p

You should add One more thing.
A Test: You should made some self made malware which the user need to Identify if these are malware or not

Send Some Clean & Malicious files to user & tell them to identify which these are malicous & which one is clean.
After the Completion of Course.

There will be loads of stuff like that, challenges based around what you have learned up to the point of the challenge :)

Update: Work is underway building the course now :) I'm on vacation next week so work will be delayed slightly but the course should be up and running with loads for you all to learn by the time my birthday comes around (in a couple of weeks) :)
