I wont get to specific but here are some meanings. like If your AV detects a thing called let's say Backdoor:Win32.Fynloski.a
Malware: The term used as a general term
Backdoor: These usually come from exploits in a browser but like most malware you can also get infected by opening weird files
Exploit Kit: This is a tool for creating a exploit in a browser. Also can mean for a RAT (Remote Application Tool)
Ransomware: These things are hardcore when you get infected by one it will lock your PC usually forcing you to pay a fine in order to gain "Control" of your PC again
Worm: These are dangerous if you run a network and you computer gets infected by one it will search for other computers to infect on your network
Rogue Anti-Virus: These are anti-viruses that don't do sh!Y if you actually pay for them, and they will lock your PC usually and force you to pay for it
Trojan/Rootkit: These are usually what you hear when you hear the term "Virus"
That's all i have
