MBAE + NVT OSA it is the most efficient.
WDEG (with programs protection) only in an OS W.10 with efficient security configuration.

I have used Hitman Alert and Malwarebytes-Anti-Exploit.
But the one that comes with the W10 system that I haven't used, if I used EMET.
I can't make a reliable comparison.

My vote : Hitman pro Alert, comes with many other components,HitmanPro scanner,Browser Protection,Expioit protection(of course)Key-logger protection, usb,and web cam, Crypto guard...,the downside is its costly.

Preferable to who?
To most people, MBAM because it has few options where people would mess around.
To above average users, HMPA, it is more complete and tweakable than MBAE but it's system impact is higher and if tightened it often end up messing/conflicting with the OS.
And for skilled user, Windows Exploit Protection is preferred, fully integrated, no impact on the system, and customizable for each processes. Obviously it has to be tweaked by the user since it us a built-in feature, it can't be tighten by default or it will cripple systems.

About protection their base mechanism is the same, they all use the same mechanism introduced from Windows EMET, the only differences are added features like in HMPA.

Then there is not much difference, it turns out in terms of protection from unknown exploits.

Hello, I voted Hitman, but I think that my AV, Bitdefender Total Security is way better than any of the 3 programs mentioned.

I acquired a long licence for HMP.A, doesn't cause any issues though it did a while ago, now fit & forget, resource usage seems minimal & difficult to tell its running - When it expires will be unlikely to renew & use a free alternative - If of course I expire first problem sorted

The premium version of MBAE I use is the most suitable version for Windows XP - POS Ready 2009.
My OS is 32 bit.

I did some research.
The most recent Exploit test was done by MRG Effitas (May 20, 2018).
Although MBAE has not been tested, it is interesting because it also tests WDEG.

You are right.
Even their 2015 test I remember raised many concerns.
2 versions of HPA tested and the latest one after the failed tests were repaired.
MBAE was also in the same condition there were more updated builds than the test ones.
But they weren't tested.
