INTRODUCTION
All giveaways, promotions, offers, deals, and discounts are organized, conducted and shared in terms and boundaries of our Forum Rules. We are a Security-oriented forum so our giveaways are and should be no different. Everything posted on this forum must, in a way, be connected to a field of Security, Privacy, and System Maintenance. Only software giveaways are allowed, so abstain from posting anything else. Everything you win on this forum is stored in a digital-only form. We reserve the right to change this in the future. All giveaways and deals on MalwareTips can be internal and external. Internal giveaways or Official MalwareTips Giveaways can only be run by staff members. Staff members in charge of the giveaways are me, @Exterminator, @Jack and @Spawn.
MalwareTips GIVEAWAYS RULES
This forum contains official giveaways from malwaretips.com. Events secured by official members of the malwaretips.com Staff Team.
- The MalwareTips Giveaways section is for sponsored giveaways only. Members should not post a new thread in this section. This is only open for replies by members wishing to enter a particular giveaway. Only those members wishing to enter should reply to these threads.
- MalwareTips staff in cooperation with the vendors are in charge of conducting the giveaways.
- You are allowed to participate with one post and one account/IP address. Having multiple accounts on our forum is against our rules and will disqualify you.
- Posting multiple times inside the thread is not allowed unless it is emphasized differently.
- Only a valid entry will be considered! Any questions that might arise can be answered in the original post.
- After the giveaway ends the giveaway is usually locked for further replies except in a case of need.
- Discussing the product which is on promo on MalwareTips Official Giveaways is not allowed unless the staff member conducting the giveaway emphasized it differently.
- Replies should be posted only by the members who want to participate, other posts and replies that don't meet proper participation will be deleted.
- Sharing the giveaway links on social media is a requirement of the giveaway. If you do not have a social media account then you are not eligible to enter. If you are concerned about your privacy, you can share the link and then PM to the staff member in charge of that giveaway so he may verify it. A note will then be placed on your entry that you have complied. With the new giveaway system, you will be asked to give your social media share link only in case you are the winner of the giveaway. As it is done via private message between you and the staff member conducting the giveaway, your privacy is protected. Make sure that you share the giveaway and make sure you do it while the giveaway was open. If the system draws you as a winner and you didn't share the giveaway or didn't share the giveaway on time, you will be disqualified and your prize will go to the next member according to the rules.
- Replies such as "Hi"," Count me in", "Thanks", "I don't have Facebook or Twitter but thanks anyway", etc. or questions will be deleted and that member banned from replying for the duration of the giveaway.
- If you are interested in and post an entry to a giveaway make sure you take note of the date in which winners will be chosen and log in to check on that date (too many winners have missed out on a winning license because of this reason). Winners not responding to their winning PM in a 3 day period and having to then select alternate winners and send out PM's to them just becomes too time-consuming for staff members.
- Posting incomplete, protected or links leading to somewhere else than what is clearly stated in the giveaway requirements will disqualify you. There will be no PMs sent reminding you to post and or edit these required links.
- Those entries not meeting the giveaway requirements will not be considered and will be deleted. It is not the responsibility of MalwareTips staff to contact that member and tell them they need to post a new entry.
- Members that are using VPN Services or Applications, programs that hide/change your real IP address are asked to temporarily turn it off when posting a reply (participating) in the specific giveaway. If we detect activity from VPN Service, Proxy Server, Suspected Proxy Server, Known Proxy Sharing Device, Tor Network, etc. specific posts will be deleted and the member who posted it will be disqualified from current and banned for all future MalwareTips Giveaways!
- Those members with a +1 and above reputation (not likes) are no longer required to post their Introduction and Security Configuration links to enter the giveaway. With the new giveaway system (2019) all participants need to link their security configuration to their account, in the account details section. There is a proper field you need to paste your security configuration link and save, That way member is eligible to enter Official MalwareTips Giveaways. Those members who didn't do this will be rejected by the giveaway system.
- Any member that wins a giveaway and tries to run a personal giveaway with a winning license or try to sell the winning license will be disqualified from current and banned for all future MalwareTips Giveaways!
- Be considerate of your fellow members and only enter those giveaways that you are really interested in. Many members are winning multiple times and then trying to trade away winning licenses for something else.
- Do not try to cheat in any form as MalwareTips reserves the right to blacklist all licenses you won from Official MalwareTips giveaways in cooperation with product vendors.
- Members who didn't fill all the asked requirements, or broke any of these rules will not enter the draw. Take these rules seriously as breaking some of them may result in banning from all MalwareTips Giveaways and if repeated may result in banning from the MalwareTips completely.
- Other rules may be specific for each giveaway as details about them are arranged between the staff of MalwareTips and a sponsor or a vendor's representative. A thorough read of the giveaway requirements and rules is recommended and should be done every time and with every new giveaway as some details may change.
HOW TO PROPERLY ENTER THE MalwareTips GIVEAWAY WITH THE NEW GIVEAWAY SYSTEM
There are basically two ways of entering Official MalwareTips Giveaways. The old method required to make security configuration thread, your introduction to MalwareTips community thread and sharing the giveaway on Social media, with posting those three links inside of the giveaway thread as your reply. Members with higher reputation didn't need to post their introduction and security configuration, but only the share link from their Social Media profile.
With the new giveaway system, we are introduced with a simpler method of conducting giveaway events. Benefits are numerous but I will count some :
- You don't have to post any links in your replies in the giveaway thread,
- Your social media profiles are protected in the way that only the staff member conducting the giveaway is able to see them (eventually if you win). That way, your privacy is secured.
- You can enter the Official MalwareTips Giveaways in just a few clicks,
- You can share the giveaway directly through the giveaway landing page as Social Media buttons are embedded into the page.
- You are automatically notified by the Giveaway System when the giveaway opens and when it will close,
- Rules are much easier to see and read as there are fewer requirements for you to enter.
- etc
So, if you want to take a chance of winning great prizes you need to follow this quick tutorial of how to enter the giveaways properly.
1. Make sure you created your Security Configuration. If you didn't, head to Computer Security Configuration and make one.
2. Link your security configuration to your MalwareTips Account.
Copy the link of your security configuration from your browser's address bar, click on your avatar button and then click on "Account details" field.
By scrolling down you will see a field named "Computer Security Configuration ". Paste your security configuration link there and click "Save"
3. Open the giveaway of your interest and share it on your Social Media.
There are multiple buttons for sharing the giveaway on your Social Media. Chose whatever you want. It's enough to share the giveaway properly on only one social media (Facebook, for example). Make sure your posts of this matter are set to Public.
*There is another method of sharing the giveaway on your social media and it's usually mentioned in the main giveaway thread in the Rules section. This method implies that you take (copy) the code from a specific field mentioned in the Rules of the giveaway and paste it on your Social Media profile.
4. Entering the giveaway.
After you finished the previous step, check the box named "I agree to the rules of this giveaway" and click on the green button named "Enter giveaway"
DONE!
If you completed all the steps above properly your entry will be logged by our Giveaway System. Check the draw date and make sure you be online on then as a winning message may arrive.
