I am a old user of Google Chrome today i tried Maxthon & really i am liking Maxthon very much.

Tried it, but didn't like it.
Some things I didn't like about it's design:

- Sidebar
- You're not Opera (Presto)
- Takes up too much space
- Too intrusive
- Status bar
- Didn't this go extinct or at least off by default
- User Interface combines...
- FF4 search engine box
- Chrome-style address bar
- Opera toolbar additions
- IE9+ rectangular tabs
- Extensions
- Poor range of popular extensions such as AdBlock, HTTPS Everywhere etc

The only thing i don't like in Maxthon is poor range of Extension.

Maxthon is a whole lot faster than Chrome on my old system. But it really badly needs a session manager to restore tabs after crashes. The extension store for Maxthon has LastPass, but a lot is missing.
If you don't care about no session manager, go for it with Maxthon.

- Addons (Maxthon barely has addons... the only addon i can use is LastPass)
- Adblock (Maxthon doesn't have a adblock addon)

Yes it has limited add-ons but includes enough features by default compared to other browsers and is much faster.
It depends on the user's preferences to which is best. Why not use both?
If you just want a light fast browser with with basic functions then you can not go wrong with Maxthon.
If you are an extension freak, then Google Chrome will suit your needs much better.

No browser is fast for me...... Except Firefox.... and google chrome loads sites way too slow or not load at all....

I found Maxthon to be a little to busy/bloated for my taste, especially compared to the sleek/trim Google Chrome.
I tried Maxthon, but it is slower than Chrome in my system.

the latest version is slower and they add some crap features; i am disappointed by the way they took.
I never tried older version of Maxthon, But new version is faster than chrome,
Can you list which features.
I like Maxthon more because of his looks & his download manager.
Its AdHunter is crap.
Chrome has a lot more extension thats why still i am using Chrome.
When i need to choose from Looks & Security than i will go for Security so Chrome is my choice.
But still the option it give customize UI is the thing i like.
