McAfee Acquires Advanced Sandboxing Technology to Improve Anti-Malware Solutions

McAfee is determined to make some serious improvements to its anti-malware technology. This is why the security firm has acquired LynuxWorks’s ValidEdge sandboxing technology in an effort to broaden its portfolio.

In addition, the company has made more than 30 malware-focused product enhancements to some of its products.

I think it was Illumination who was recently citing layered protection. The above example takes the cake.

Well, it was time for McAfee to update their products to the 2013 technology!
The Advanced Download Protection in Zone Alarm products, is in my eyes a standard on how Sandboxing and checking a program behavior should be implemented, if they have even a remotely similar plan, then they'll build a good product. http://malwaretips.com/Thread-ZoneAlarm-2012-product-line-is-now-available-for-download-Release?pid=13063#pid13063

I will have to agree that Advanced Download Protection in Zone Alarm products is the best method to stop most common infections since most malware are manually downloaded by the users.

I just wonder if McAfee will release a free version? probably not.
