New Update McAfee R135

Monthly update!

This time, we've finally fixed the garbled Chinese characters in the quarantine area, a welcome relief.
The Neo engine now uses the trust library.

As per: McAfee R135 更新_McAfee_国外杀毒软件 卡饭论坛 - 互助分享 - 大气谦和!
The trust library was used before as well though.

There were detections produced by “Neo Trust”, or more likely the lack of such.

There seem to be mainly under the hood changes in this release.

In parallel, McAfee seems to be running a few experiments independent of the version:
-Dark mode (finally)
-AI-generated threat explanations on executables (based on API call analysis).

Other features recently added:
Scam notifications blocking through websites reputation analysis. This is a different approach from Trend Micro.
Trend Micro analyses the URLs added, whilst McAfee seems to dislike any notification from low quality, low trust domain.

Is the dark mode implemented now ?

Not on my laptop. I ran a update, did a restart and didn't see a settings option, and it didn't change with my Windows dark theme.

I've installed McAfee and I'm impressed. Installation completed in less than a min.

I can't say I like the identity protection stuff, but the product is too light. McAfee literally went from a complete hard-to-remove junk, to a very light and polished product.

The password manager has not received any updates for over a year, so I did not install it.

It seems McAfee depends on the WebAdvisor extension as without it, it did not detect any of AMTSO tests, but I'm OK with that.

One major issue I experienced is the very slow download speed when WebAdvisor extension is enabled. To check if it was the cause, I disabled it and download speed returned to normal, so definitely it was the cause. Anyone experienced sth similar?
