It’s three days late, but those with Windows 11 version 24H2 can now download the April 2025 Week D preview update, which brings Recall, Click to Do, and other new Copilot+ PC features to stable for the first time.
“At a time when many are talking about the benefits of AI, we are excited to be delivering them on Copilot+ PCs,” Microsoft corporate vice president Navjot Virk writes. “With the availability of Recall, improved Windows search, and Click to Do, we’re adding even more AI benefits, making it easier to pick up where you left off, find what you’re looking for and do more with less time and hassle.”
Those with Windows 11 version 24H2–Copilot+ PC or not–can now download KB2267602, an optional preview cumulative update that adds several new features:
Recall (preview). For Copilot+ PCs only, this feature helps you find and get back to any app, website, image, or document just by describing its content. Recall is opt-in, you must enroll using Windows Hello ESS-based biometric authentication, the snapshots it saves are encrypted, and all processing occurs in an isolated memory environment. You can learn more here.
Click to Do (preview). For Copilot+ PCs only, this feature lets you take actions on text or graphics you see anywhere onscreen while using Windows. Just click Windows Key + mouse button (or Windows Key + Q) and Click to Do will highlight the elements you can act on. Click to Do is also available via a new version of the Snipping Tool app that’s available in the Store, and in the Taskbar-based Search box. (There’s also a related Text actions interface in Settings.)
Improved Windows Search. For Copilot+ PCs only, this feature uses semantic indexing models to let you search for documents, photos, and settings across Windows 11 and OneDrive using natural language. You can learn more here.
Narrator improvements. A new Speech recap feature lets you access spoken content, follow along with live transcription, and copy what Narrator last said.
Phone Link improvements. You can now integrate Phone Link directly with the Start menu so you can access your phone calls, text messages, and photos, and share content between your mobile device and PC.
Widgets improvements. Developers can now create widgets for the Widgets board and/or Lock screen using existing web-based content.
File Explorer improvements. File Explorer gets pivot-based curated views in Home, improved support for Windows 11 text scaling, and improved performance with ZIP files.
