You don't need 8GB RAM to use features like ASLR. Anti-Exploit software like Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit has supported BottomUp ASLR enforcement for various software for years and years now anyway. Software which has ASLR enabled at compilation time (through linker options) can run on low-end systems too.
Yeah I know. I enabled ASLR in XP with 1GB RAM. For common users who aren't using an exploit protection app that higher amount of RAM might save them from hackers who can guess memory address or location.
Even Trend micro has ransomware protection tool available for free. I think they no longer offer it.
HMPa and MBAM AE did support that features for so long.
