Simple guide to changing the Splash Screen for Microsoft Edge, on Windows 10 devices.

  1. Launch the Registry Editor:
  2. Run > regedit > OK
  3. Allow permission on UAC prompt
  4. Navigate to the following key:
  5. Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SplashScreen\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge
  6. Double-click the BackgroundColor to change # colour (default: #0078D7)
  7. Close and re-open Edge browser for affect

Use an online Colour Picker tool for #HEXA colour.
Example: #000000 (Black Edge)
